CLEANING & TURNOVER CHECKLIST

Please use this list for each vacation renter cleaning and turnover.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PHOTO & REPORT ANYTHING MISSING, DAMAGED, LOW SUPPLY, ETC.
Supply Closet Codes: 0123# (Welcome basket stock is located in the locked cabinet above the refridgerator. The key for this cabinet is on a hook in the supply closet. Please return the key after stocking.

THROUGHOUT THE HOME

  • Dust A/C vents, grids, and fans

  • Check and clean all windows (interior), AND close and lock all windows before leaving

  • Check for stains on carpets, rugs, furniture, or curtains

  • Discard all magazines, pamphlets, or flyers

  • Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as handles, doorknobs, and counters

  • Spot clean walls and wipe down all baseboards

  • Discard paper plates, plastic cups, plastic cutlery, and paper/plastic bags

  • Check for and remove spider webs indoors and on outdoor furniture

KITCHEN

  • Clean any dirty dishes and dishwasher rim, check that the dishwasher is empty

  • Discard all leftover food

  • Remove trash and recyclables; clean and sanitize trash cans and replace liners

  • Clean and disinfect counters, cabinets, tables, and chairs

  • Clean range top and wipe inside of oven

  • Clean, scrub, and sanitize sinks and backsplashes

  • Clean and disinfect appliances (interiors and exteriors), including the inside of toaster oven, microwave, and coffee makers

  • Empty and clean inside and outside of refrigerator and freezer (check ice quantity and quality)

  • Sweep and mop floors

  • Wipe down windows and windowsills

  • Refill hand soap dispenser

  • Refill dish soap dispenser

  • Put out 2 clean dish towels and a new sponge

  • Ensure all dishes, utensils, pots and pans are clean and arranged in drawers per pictures provided

Place under the kitchen sink:

  • 1 new paper towel roll

  • 1 disinfectant wipe container

  • 1 multipurpose cleaning spray

  • 1 bag of 4 dishwashing pods

  • 4 trash bags (white)

  • 4 recycling bags (blue)

Ensure kitchen amenities supply is stocked:

  • Coffee K-Cups, Nespresso Pods, coffee filters, individually wrapped Tea Bags

  • Sugar

  • 1 bottle of olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • All items used for Welcome Basket/Tray (see "Turnover" in the next section)

BEDROOMS

  • Change sheets and pillowcases — use “hotel-standard” bed making

  • Inspect mattresses and pads

  • Vacuum floor and under beds

  • Remove trash and clean trash cans

  • Check for personal belongings or trash left in drawers, closets, under the bed, behind the headboards, and behind nightstands

  • Dust windowsills and ledges

  • Dust furniture, knickknacks, ceiling fans, blinds, and windowsills and clean mirrors

  • Ensure clocks are on correct time and outlets are available for phone charging

  • Clean and disinfect electronics and remotes

  • Ensure closets are stocked with appropriate number of hangers (20)

Bedding:

All Beds:

  • Mattress protector & pad

  • 4 flat sheets

  • 1 comforter

King Beds: 4 king pillows, protectors, and cases

Queen Bed: 4 standard pillows, protectors, and cases

Twin Beds: 2 standard pillows, protectors, and cases

BATHROOMS

  • Clean, scrub, disinfect, and sanitize showers, bathtubs, vanity, sink, and backsplashes

  • Clean mirrors

  • Clean and sanitize toilets (inside, outside, under the front, around the base, and behind)

  • Sweep and mop floors

  • Remove trash and clean trash cans

  • Wash tile walls

  • Fill soap dispensers

  • Replenish toilet paper (3 extra rolls under the sink)

  • Set clean towels and shower mat from — use “hotel-standard” staging

  • Place Bathroom Amenities Kit

  • Ensure shower doors are free of mold and water spots

  • Wipe down windows and windowsills

  • Clean dust and debris on vents and fans

  • Clean and place hair dryer neatly in “Hair Dryer Bag” under sink or in a drawer

  • Ensure tissue box is sufficiently full

  • Clean out drawers and cabinets

Towels:

All full bathrooms (4):

  • 2 towels on rack

  • 2 hand towels on rack

  • 2 wash clothes on rack

  • 1 shower mat neatly folded at the threshold of the shower or tub

  • 1 makeup towel (black) in the acrylic amenities tray

Half bath (1):

  • 2 hand towels only (no bathroom amenities kit, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or bar soap)

LIVINGROOM & OFFICE

  • Clean and disinfect electronics, game systems, TVs and remotes

  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors/carpets as applicable

  • Check under cushions and couches for debris and other items

  • Clean and straighten decor like pillows, blankets, etc.

  • Dust windowsills and ledges

  • Dust and clean furniture, picture frames, knickknacks, ceiling fans, and lamps

  • Make sure all board games, and books are in good condition and neatly organized

  • Spot wash windows (interior) and sliding glass doors as needed

  • Check fireplace is clean

LAUNDRY AREA

  • Be sure washer and dryer are empty; clean out lint trap

  • Wipe down machines (including seal areas) and leave open

  • Wash floor (sweep or mop)

  • Remove trash

  • Set out 4 laundry detergent pods and 4 dryer sheets in zipper bags

  • Ensure iron, and ironing board, and hand-held steamer are visible

  • Close curtain

OUTDOOR AREAS

  • Sweep porches and outdoor mats and dust off entry door

  • Wipe off patio/balcony sets and tables and straighten; ensure cushions are in good condition for upcoming guests (if stained, REPORT immediately)

  • Remove all spiderwebs from outdoor furniture and cabana/pergola

  • Open and close all umbrellas (photograph and report all damaged umbrellas immediately)

  • Wipe down and clean inside BBQ grill

  • Ensure pool area is clean and all pool floats/toys are discarded

  • Check the hot tub for heat and general cleanliness (photograph and report immediately if dirty)

  • Check the sauna for general cleanliness, clean it and disinfect it using spray in outdoor bath)

TURNOVER TASKS:

  • Report if the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are beeping

  • Check for personal belongings left in rooms (report any guest items left behind)

  • Set thermostats (2) to 74 degrees and check that both units are working

  • Check for pest control service needs (if excessive spiders or other bugs, report)

  • All window shades are down, and curtains are closed

  • Water indoor plants (3)

  • Walk through and check the home is not only clean but staged per pictures provided

  • Check all TVs are functional and WIFI is working (Network: Casa Blanca, Password: 8583532775)

  • Ensure clocks are on correct time

  • Ensure gate remote and Welcome Book are in good condition and placed on round glass table in entryway

  • Check both outdoor firepits are working and have propane tanks installed (if propane is empty, swap with full tanks outside the gate at the top of the driveway next to the large propane tank)

  • Ensure all outdoor lights are functioning

  • Walk around the property to make sure all cigarette butts and trash have been removed

  • Take photos of each room and outdoor areas (see "Check-In Photos" in next section) once service completed

  • Check locks and close entry doors (report if smart lock or keypad is beeping)

Welcome Basket/Tray:

  • 1 bottle of champagne

  • 2 champagne glasses

  • 2 fruit snacks

  • 2 popcorn bag

  • 2 granola bars

  • 2 chips or cookies (whatever is in stock)

If Welcome Basket/Tray supplies are running low (less than 4 turns of supply) please report it immediately so that we can send restocking items to the property.
